Having a career a Police Officer can be difficult in many ways, and there is always that chance of coming across a life threatening situation. Having the opportunity to have a new body armor vest donated to me will give me a piece of mind knowing that the body armor isn’t old and the body armor still has the integrity to stop a bullet if ever in that situation. I would like to thank Fallen officers Remembered for everything that they do and being able to supply myself and other part time police officers with new body armor. Initially starting off as a part time Police Officer can be financially stressful because we need to purchase our own gear and uniforms, which can end up being pretty expensive and having a protective vest donated to me eases my mind. I can’t thank Fallen Officers Remembered enough for everything they do.
Sincerely, Officer E Williams

I do appreciate the time you put into this. I feel very fortunate to be getting this donation. The vest I have now is about 10 years old, does not have a trauma plate anymore, the shoulder straps are secured with duct tape, and I’ve replaced two of the four side Velcro straps so that I have some semblance of secure fit. It is not the right size, but it is the best I could get of the agency’s old vests. Being that I am part-time/volunteer law enforcement, I have to buy my own gear. I cannot afford to buy a vest right now so getting this donation means a lot in that I will have proper protection in the field and can be confident that protection and will be more comfortable while wearing the vest on duty.

I am writing to personally thank the “Fallen Officers Remembered” program for their efforts to outfit all Law Enforcement Officers with protective vests. Without their help I would not be able to acquire a new fitted protective vest due to the financial strain it would have on me. The Co-founders Jaclyn Pocceschi Mosley & Gina Pocceschi Boyle are very passionate and work endless hours to make sure all Officers are protected with a vest. Knowing I have this protective vest gives me comfort knowing that I will return home everyday to my loved ones. I thank you as does my wife, two sons and daughter. The staff of “Fallen Officers Remembered” truly are angels among us.
Thank you!!!! Officer Price, Roaring Brook Township Police Department

I am writing to sincerely thank the fallen officers program for their lifesaving quest to outfit all officers with a bulletproof vest. It means the world to me and my family that programs like this exist, so that officers can have a fitted lifesaving vest for their employment as a police officer. And furthermore, and most importantly that they return home safely after their shift. If not for this program i probably would not be able to afford a vest for my employment.
Sincerely, C Biscotto

Having a new, fitted vest means a great deal to me and my family. My wife and I just got married after dating since our freshman year of high school. She tends to worry about my well being on the job. Having a vest that fits properly and has a recent manufacture date would help put her, my family, and myself at ease. Equipment like a legitimate vest will help us feel that much safer in my dangerous line of work.
Thanks again!

I would like to sincerely thank Fallen Officers Remembered for their generosity in supplying me with a Level III armor vest. Without their help I would not be able to acquire a protective vest, and there for be highly vulnerable while on duty. This single act of generosity had the power to give myself and loved ones piece of mind while I am on duty. These vests are proven year after year when they save the lives of officers. Knowing I have this protective vest gives me comfort in knowing I am more likely to return home everyday to my loved ones. I don’t think anyone can put a price on a second chance to life, and this is exactly what Fallen Officers Remembered does every time they donate a vest to an officer. I am truly greatly for Fallen Officers Remembered generosity.

On behalf of the Moscow Borough PD I would like to express our thanks and gratitude for your generous donation of the bulletproof vests you issued to two of my part-time officers that were in need. Moscow Borough does not provide vests for our part time officers and they were borrowing old, expired and out dated ones until you gave them their own through your Adopt-A-Cop program
We appreciate your efforts in your mission of increasing awareness and respect for law enforcement professionals. I would like to thank you for your assistance in this very important endeavor.

I just wanted to thank you again for all you have done. I wore the vest for the first time Friday. It was very comfortable (especially compared to the one I wore in the Army!) The extra peace of mind it gave was a great blessing. I will always wear it. My wife will be the greatest insurance that I do.

I am a college student and have had to buy every piece of gear that I will wear come fall 2012 after I complete the police academy. For now I am a Cadet. I am very excited to become an officer and protect and serve in whichever community I live. I know the protection of the vest I will feel safer when duty calls and it will give me the extra protection necessary while out on the streets As much as I appreciate this donation I pray that I will never experience it being put to use. I would like to thank your organization for putting this program together. I am sincerely thankful for those whome take the time out of their lives tohelp others such as all of you.

I want to thank you for allowing me to participate in this vest program. I work for a small police department that would have made me pay half for a vest. In today’s economic times with gas, food, and utility bills going up and no pay raises your program could have not come at a better time.
I have children and a wife and with ever increasing attacks on law enforcement from criminals who are using firearms a new vest is the first step I can take to insure I go home at the end of shift. Your program is a God send for the smaller police agencies such as the one I work.

I am so thankful for this program!!! That they help provide officers with bullet proof vest. I am a newly started officer and i do not have the funds to buy a vest. I have been almost a year without wearing a vest. And been in a couple situations where it would have been nice to have some extra protection, hoping the situation would not go worse. It means alot to have a vest and i feel so much safer with some protection. that im not just an open target… without this foundation that would not have been possible..thank you so much..

I would like to Thank you VERY MUCH for the vest. Many times I go to work and never know what the day may bring. Before the vest I wore was more for show then for actual use. It was expired and falling apart. My family and I feel a lot safer now that I have a vest that I know is in working order and fits me! Thank you so much for giving myself and my family that piece of mind!
Thanks, T. Furrh and my family

During the recent Law Enforcement Memorial ceremonies in Washington DC myself and others in my group were approached by two very gracious young ladies and presented with beautiful Thank You cards (mine was made by Michael). I just wanted to pass along my thanks and appreciation to your organization and the people involved. I can see by your website that you are doing many things to help support law enforcement, but I think the one that impresses me the most is the involvement of youth, which gives them a brighter view of who we are and what we stand for. Please pass along my thanks and appreciation to Michael and the rest of your people.

The reason I am applying for this opportunity to get a bullet proof vest is simply for the fact that I am worried that one day I might be one of those officers taken down in the line of duty. I simply don’t want to be one of those people who lived a short life just because I don’t have a bullet proof vest. It’ pretty sad and heartbreaking that my little sister tells me make sure you wear your vest and I reply I don’t have because i can’t afford one. My father was going to buy me one, but after this recent flooding last fall he said he couldn’t afford it because he had to fix things around the house caused by water damage. My fiance told me about this along with exeter twp. Police department that i can apply for vest. I am asking please consider me, to be one of the lucky police officers in the area to recieve a bullet proof vest simply because i would like to have a long career in law enforcement.
Thank you,

To our friends at Fallen Officers Remembered,
On behalf of my department I would like to all those involved for your help and assistance in this body armor grant program. Many small agencies (and now large agencies in this economy) are struggling to get the proper necessary equipment for its officers. Safety is now measured in dollars and cents. If we can afford it then we will provide it. If we cannot afford it then they will have to buy it themselves or go without it. This is to our shame as police agencies that we have put a dollar value on the lives and safety of our officers. You have helped us immensely and we are very appreciative. If we can help in anyway please let us know. If we are ever in a position to give back and donate something to help another officer then we will certainly do so. I had this thought earlier as I was typing a note to Kelly Curtis: When one Officer’s watch ends then another Officer will step in to take over.
Sincerely,
Det. C.F. Hendrix III
