There is no better way to honor fallen officers than to reduce law enforcement fatalities.
Nationwide, approximately 250,000 Police Officers are in great need of bulletproof vests! Our counties have laid off many officers. They have replaced many full-time officers with “part-time” officers. The starting salary for many is little over minimum wage for such a dangerous job! Many of our police officers are going without bulletproof vests because of the unaffordable cost ($1000+). They wear vests that are not fitted for them or expired vests (5 years is what a manufacturer warranties for safety). They are trying to raise families, work second jobs, pay for uniforms, and medical insurance.
They risk the ultimate sacrifice for us every day while fighting the war on crime in our neighborhoods.
Please don’t turn your back on the very individuals who put their lives on the line every minute, every hour, every day…for our safety. You too can help save a life…theirs!
Think about this: If an officer is trying to protect us or our loved ones in a serious situation, but is not protected by a vest, then how safe can we or our loved ones be?
